EFFIE CRAVEN RORKE, MPH, MPA

I'm an experienced nonprofit lobbyist, community organizer, and proud former federal employee. With a background in public health and public policy, I've worked primarily as a registered lobbyist for state and national nonprofit organizations. I have led successful federal and state legislative campaigns in both red and blue states, and have a history of building effective relationships with decision makers on both sides of the aisle. I have mobilized grassroots and grasstops advocates in support of policies ranging from Clean Air protections to federal nutrition programs in the Farm Bill to Non-Defense discretionary programs in the federal budget. I've served on the Board of Directors for various civic-minded nonprofit organizations including the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy and Let's Fix This. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Woody Guthrie Coalition.

I graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma State University. I hold a Master of Public Health from the University of Arizona, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma. I'm proud to live and work in Oklahoma City.
After serving eight years in the Oklahoma Senate, I had the opportunity to work with a broad range of lobbyists and government affairs representatives, some I came to trust and enjoy, while others raised caution flags. Effie always stood out as one of the advocates who exuded both passion and confidence. My colleagues and I soon came to rely on her and knew we could discuss issues with the utmost professionalism and sensitivity. I highly recommend the consulting services of Ms. Rorke.

Effie is extremely intelligent and organized, but the real game-changer is her talent when it comes to communication. She can peer through the forest of potential messages and describe the one tree that matters most to a target audience. That clarity and focus is a powerful combination.
